May Birch

May is Brendan's girlfriend prior to the start of the visual novel, and if Brendan is selected as the roommate, May will become a central figure in many story routes. She is also the roommate of Leaf, the main heroine. May has a wildly enthusiastic nature, which allows her to easily befriend other female students in the academy. As a result, she can play a key role in introducing Red to other characters. May was first introduced in Pokémon Ruby and Pokémon Sapphire versions.
