A first-year student in the magic department of Suzunone School. Sumire is a notable magic user and the granddaughter of the school principal. Therefore, there are high hopes for her future. However, even though she has talent, she rarely ever uses magic by herself, and she has no interest in magic classes. For those reasons, she became one of the worst seven students. Her speech and conduct tend to be very polite and sociable. Yet, once anything unpleasant happens, a darker atmosphere is noticeable around her, though she never loses her smile. That makes other people afraid of her. She is well informed about all students and writes for the school newspaper "Suzusupo!".
