幼驯染的夏日与邻室

Minowa, a small town in Nagano Prefecture, is surrounded by mountains and filled with the sound of cicadas throughout the summer.

Yuma Hoshino lives in an aging house with peeling walls. Next door lives Ayano Amemiya, his childhood friend of the same age—bright, cheerful, and academically gifted. Although they have grown up separated by only a thin wall, there remains a distance between them that neither can put into words.

The scent of gardenias drifts in from the neighboring room, while a fan turns the pages of a textbook on the desk. When Yuma opens his window, the light in Ayano's room is still on.

Their summer has only just begun.
