You Make My Heart Rumble

I was originally supposed to come with my girlfriend, we ended up breaking up soon after I bought the tickets (hope it was worth the entire basketball team running a train on you). But it's alright, I ̶f̶o̶r̶c̶e̶d̶ convinced my room mate to come with me!

This is Kameron, and he's a lineman on our nationally ranked football team! He's a super chill dude, but he's been really down on the dumps these past few months. Like a total shut-in (made for a great anime watch buddy though!), and this is just the kind of trip he needs to take to get him out of his funk! Help him realize that there's more to this life than just a game (even if it is a career).

Backpacking across Zyupan, staying in capsule hotels, eating all the great food here. The train system is so convenient! We've already visited anime street and all the great arcades, and we got to see the giant robot (it's actually a statue, but still so cool). I still need to take Kameron to karaoke and a hot springs (bro keeps shooting those down, c'mon, they're awesome.)

And I'm not just coming to geek out, we're also trying to visit all the great cultural and history spots along the way. Did you know that there's like, so many shrines and temples here? Each one has a different god that the locals pray to. And there's so many different superstitions, like, charms to help with health or money (Or love, I do so many love fortunes. Please Gods, send me a hot Zyupanese girlfriend!)

Wouldn't it be great if this trip turned into one of my favorite anime plots? Meeting a girl who turned out to have a secret magical girl superhero persona. Oh, or maybe I meet a girl who is actually an idol and she lives a double life. Or maybe there's an isekai where I get transported to another world and become a hero and get the girl that way (I'll be keeping an eye out for that truck)!

Nah, just kidding (it'd suck to leave Zyupan when I finally got here), but doesn't mean I won't stop dreaming of a fateful meeting happening anyway! It's spring break, the season of love! I'll get myself and Kameron some hot Zyupanese girlfriends, and we'll both get out of our funks (bro seriously has never had a girlfriend, wtf?).

Anyway, our train stop is coming up soon, and we're about to go visit this one shrine that has a really cool bamboo forest. It's gonna be so cool (it's also the one based on my favorite isekai anime, That Time I Got Transported to a Different World and Now I Play Sports with Gods?). This is Lou, signing out!
