The DFPIC takes on its final case. After the stamp and the ladle, the camp seemingly should have gotten used to the fact that any trivial matter in Sovyonok can suddenly become a camp-wide incident. But even absurdity has a limit. Probably. A new case begins with yet another disappearance: A sugar bowl has gone missing from the dining hall. An ordinary sugar bowl? Perhaps. But not when morning tea, camp order, and the very existence of the DFPIC are at stake. Semyon once again finds himself at the head of the department, although he still hopes this was a temporary mistake. Elektronik is keeping the minutes again. Ulyana is once again taking what is happening too seriously. Or vice versa - not seriously enough. This time, the investigation will be the final test for the DFPIC. If the sugar bowl is found, the department will prove it is needed by the camp. If not, it will be disbanded. And then everything goes on as usual: Suspicions, strange clues, dubious conclusions, sugar trails, very important conversations, and a case that gradually becomes something more than just a search for a missing item.
