Several days have already passed since Semyon ended up in Sovyonok. He kept trying to unravel the mystery of how and why he got here, but to no avail. One fine morning, our protagonist learns that a new pioneer girl has arrived at the camp: she was dressed for winter and behaved somewhat unusually. Semyon immediately realizes that this girl is an "outsider" just like he is. The heroes find each other and realize that together they will be able to get to the truth hidden somewhere in the depths of the pioneer camp. It turns out that the new pioneer girl is quite an interesting conversationalist, and our heroes will often debate various topics: society, culture, science, education, business, art, etc. As the plot develops, the characters themselves will evolve, change their views on life, and inspire others.
