A Faint Memory

After 17 years, I'm back in my father's house – the place I ran from, desperate to escape everything it held. His death brought me here, to this house I swore I'd never return to. The memories hit me the moment I step through the door, a mix of love and pain that I thought I'd left behind.

Now, standing in the rooms of my childhood, I'm forced to face the parts of myself I've tried to forget, the ghosts of a past I never fully escaped.
