Back in the day, at Memphis Lanes High, four girls formed a rock band that briefly lit up the stage — //MEMS//. But they weren’t exactly a well-oiled machine. More like a storm of teenage chaos. They only ever managed to sound decent when no one was paying attention.

With clashing temperaments and wildly different worldviews, the girls constantly fought. And during their final gig, something happened — something that made them drop their instruments for good. The band dissolved, and the name //MEMS// was buried in their past.

Now, years later, their former frontwoman — eternally optimistic Membrane Smythe — calls them back for a casual reunion at a café. They haven’t seen one another in nearly ten years. Yet, one by one, each girl says yes. Why? Even they’re not entirely sure.
