James Mason, a twenty-two-year-old deer, just finished his art degree.

Now that he's no longer allowed to stay at his school's dorms, his only choice is to move back to his sleepy hometown of New Blackden, a little town between Toronto and Sudbury.

But with his parents moving out of that town, his choices lie among the friends he's made in that town ever since he moved in after finishing high school, who have all offered to let him stay with them.
