The Priestess, the Shepherd and the doom of Patras

Comatho, young Priestess of Patras, and Melanippus, son of a shepherd, fall deeply in love with each other. However, their difference in status leads Comaetho's parents to refuse the union.
The two young people therefore decide to meet each other in the secrecy of Artemis' temple. But alas, from love to profanity, there sometimes only is a step, and the two unfortunate lovers end up crossing a line, making Artemis herself spread famine and plague all over Patras.

How are the two lovers going to appease the Goddess? Can true love triumph at the end of the day? And what are Comaetho and Melanippus ready to do to save the people they love and, more importantly, each other?
