"Saniwa"—those who discern the truth of a god during a divine summoning ritual.

Mizuchi Seishirou had been training relentlessly to become a Saniwa.
But then, news reached him: Kamikura Mao, the daughter of Kuki Shrine, had failed a divine summoning ritual and was acting strangely.

Rushing back to his hometown, he found Mao—her speech and behavior regressed to that of a child. If she wasn’t awakened within five days, her body would perish… There was only one way to save her: the Secret Rite of the Saniwa. He couldn’t lose her—his childhood friend, his precious little sister… Mao. Holding onto the promise they made as children, Seishirou set up a barrier in the inner sanctum of Kuki Shrine and secluded himself with Mao.
