trick or tricker

It was late afternoon on October 31st.
I was having tea with my twin sister in a relaxed church.

I wondered if we would have any guests again this year.

Every year, nothing happens on Halloween,
but this year, there was a knock at the door.

I had no way of knowing if it was a blessing or a curse.
