Because of a raging snowstorm, school is temporarily closed. But, because the school's notice only went out on this very day, several students who aren't well-informed of the situation still end up showing up for school. The protagonist, Asou Shin'ya, is among them, too.
Although Shin'ya had prior received the information of the school's temporary closure himself, the next person in the contact chain, Izumi Aya, had already left the house and even though he wanted to complain and vent his anger about that later, he had to now chase behind her and ultimately attend school today.

After catching up to Aya and informing her about the day off, Shin'ya thought they could hurry home quickly now - however, they were standing in line for their next share of troubles: The snowstorm grew more intense, to the point where their field of vision became greatly reduced until they could barely see a thing anymore.
After all, as leaving outside into the snowstorm spelled great peril, Shin'ya and several other students - as well as a single female teacher - are now waiting for the snowstorm to subside and have to stall for an opportunity to ... (escape with their lives?)
