The story is told from the point-of-view of Alyssa Cruz, an 11 year old girl who is suddenly diagnosed with a terminal illness from which the doctors estimate she would have approximately one week left to live. The story follows Alyssa's daily life with her friends and family. One Week of Eternity explores Alyssa's external and internal struggles as she copes with the reality of death just as she has barely begun to take her first steps into adulthood.
