Yukiteru Yokoi, a second-year employee still wet behind the ears, is assigned to a new project alongside his boss, Shoutarou Okabe.
But the project falls apart, and a series of mishaps leaves Yukiteru and his boss cornered. They’re hauled into a disciplinary hearing, punished, and ultimately fired.

Six months later…
The stain of causing massive losses follows Yukiteru everywhere. No new job, unemployment benefits dried up, and now homeless, he wanders the streets.
One day, he happens to pass by his old company. From the entrance emerges his former boss, Shoutarou Okabe.

They were both fired together, weren’t they? But now, Okabe has risen to become an executive. Yukiteru starts digging into Okabe’s life and uncovers the truth: he was made the scapegoat.
