Masami has always been one of the good kids: he got good grades, was good at his extracurriculars, and had good relations with just about everyone. The type that always came to class, sat in the front row, and turned his homework in on time. Never once had he broken the rules.

So, when he is suspended for vandalizing school grounds right before winter break, it has to be a mistake. Good kids like him aren’t supposed to snap out of nowhere. Right?
