Fumi Haku is a quiet, introverted girl self-conscious about the fact that she doesn't fit in with the rest of her class and mostly goes unnoticed by other students. Despite being in her second year of high school, she has only managed to make a single friend, an eccentric girl from a different class with whom she meets in secret during every lunch break.
