Players control a character who has watched Sadako's cursed videotape and has seven days to make decisions that will impact his or her life and potential death during this period. The game has multiple endings that are dependent on the players' choices.

Ring Infinity was an early supporter of downloadable content ("DLC") via the WonderGate function. Players were able to download additional scenarios where they were able to play through the events of the game from a different point of view.
