Tails and Pines

April is stuck on the bottom rungs of employment within her small hometown of Foxwoods. Her current job as a waitress at a diner is grueling in its long hours under a thankless, demanding boss. Barely staying afloat, April trudges on despite having no time for a social life, nor an adequate housekeeping routine.

Before this paltry situation, April's childhood friend and high school BFF, Stacy, was an intimate part of her life. Always the far more popular and favored of the two, Stacy decided after graduation to move from Foxwoods to pursue a career in the much larger capital city. This eventually strained her relationship with April as communication between them nearly dried up.
