Dorothy was abandoned by his parents because he was born albino, which is considered a bad omen.

He has been discriminated and harmed since childhood.

Tenebrae, his adoptive brother, was also abandoned because he looked different. Although they aren't related by blood, they grew up like any normal brothers would.

At the suggestion of Tenebrae, Dorothy goes out to subdue the demons harming a nearby village.
