The protagonist has amassed quite a lot of debt before his marriage. He never told his wife about it, afraid that she will reject him.

One day, his debt collector arrives at his doorsteps. Upon understanding that the protagonist cannot pay off his debt, the debt collector licentiously stares at his wife from head to toe.

Instead of selling their home, the debt collector gives him one more option. The protagonist makes his choice and the rest is history.
