Back then, remnants of its history as a spaceport could still be easily seen, and people struggled to restore its lost functions. But some others viewed that history as meaningless and wished to bury it deep. Ultimately, those striving to keep the spaceport alive find their efforts in vain; the path to the stars shuts down completely. It’s a saddening tale of the time when Earth lost its connection to the cosmos.

In the arc about the present, set immediately after the previous work in the series, Okikaze's story sparks renewed ambition among the people to revive the spaceport.
They come together from far and wide, burning with new hope—but obstacles stand in their way.
Within the management bureau there exists a faction bent on strangling any revival efforts in the bud!
Meanwhile, a boy, one of the station's "children," and Ray get caught up in a conspiracy one fateful day!

In the arc about the future, set several generations later, folks begin to bring online the connections among distant stars.
Though restored as a hub between Earth and stars, the station remains a shadow of its once-glorious ancient self.
While travelers from beyond occasionally stop by... residents are faced with reality: local science and technology lag far behind what is needed to explore deeper space.
During this standstill, a shameless female astronaut everyone had forgotten about (or rather, no one even knew she existed) arrives at the station carrying the long-forgotten relic of the past...
