An anthology of four short stories tied together by a framing story known as 'mise en abyme', which describes the experience of standing between two mirrors and seeing infinite reflections receding into the distance. The player dips in and out of the stories, each set in a different time period of human history, journeying from the worlds of ancient Polynesia and Egypt to the edges of the galaxy and back to Earth again thousands of years in the future.
