Evelyn Palmer

Evelyn is the best friend and primary love interest of Jack De Santo (the main character of Origin Story). She is beautiful, with bright blue eyes and shoulder length auburn hair that she wears in curling ringlets. In a world where most people gain virus-induced super powers during puberty, Evelyn possesses the power to experience the coming day of a person of her choice by selecting them while making touching them (or a random person she touched during the day if she did not intentionally choose a host). During her next sleep cycle, she experiences her host's following day from the time they wake up until they so much as nod off to sleep. When this happens, she experiences all of their sensory input (with no access to their thoughts), while having no power to influence events. Through this power she has lived numerous experiences that other girls her age could never imagine, from both the male and female perspectives, as well as seeing and feeling events occur that she did not want to experience and that she was unable to change despite knowing of them in advance. When Evelyn was about 9 years old, Evelyn witnessed as her mother was killed by a mobile phone dropped by a "flyer" who was hit by a bird while texting and flying, prompting the legal case "Palmer vs. the Flyers". In his grief, Evelyn's father took this years long legal action against the state for not regulating flyers, eventually winning a huge payout and prompting the enactment of laws forcing almost all flyers to be relocated to Paris, France in order to protect the public from the risks they posed. Because of this law suit, Evelyn became the target of bullying by everyone at school who ever had a flying friend or family member taken away under the new laws. About 4 years after her mother's death, Evelyn and her father relocated to a wealthy neighborhood, where she met Jack De Santo while he was visiting a close family friend that shared that neighborhood. Jack and Evelyn immediately became the best of friends, and Jack frequently defended her against bullies, prompting her to fall in love with him. Of course, Jack was completely oblivious to her feelings for him no matter how blatant the clues were. Also, Evelyn never clued him in explicitly prior to the events of this story. Evelyn is a virgin, as is Jack. A year before the story begins, around their 18th birthdays, the two of them made a pact to exchange their v-cards together the following year if they had not lost their virginities by their 19th birthdays. As the story begins, Jack's birthday has just passed and Evelyn's birthday is just days away; neither of them has lost their virginity. While they both play it cool, each of them is looking forward to completing their pact together more than they let on to the other. Unfortunately explosive events interrupt their plans and it is up to you as the player to decide how (or if) Evelyn's relationship with Jack will develop. (Most events in this story play out after the events leading up to Evelyn's 19th birthday.)
