Melanie is married to Trey Rivers. She works as an Operator in the suburbs. Steph and Mr Bumblebee are her best friends. She used to be a skateboarder. Melanie is only lightly Tomboyish. This mostly stems from her love of skateboarding, skiing, and snowboarding. Melanie only discovers that she like woman in the Klaudia arc. Klaudia sexually re-orientates Melanie towards her.
