She was Atsushi's neighbor as a kid. Abused by her alcoholic mother and enabling father, she often wandered around alone, looking for people to pester, usually Atsushi. At 14 her mother died. She immediately felt relief and stopped bullying others. Eventually, she realized the personality traits of Atsushi's that she admired so much were just manifestations of his depression.
