Ai is Masato's older childhood friend from his youth. Ai reconnects with Masato after Masato moves to the apartment next door to hers and he introduces himself to her. She immediately recognizes him and their friendship picks off where they left it off in their youth. Her Maidan name was Shirakawa Ai and she is married to Fujikawa Kousuke. She is unable to deny earnest requests from others when they politely request her help.
