Jinpachi is a Shinto priest, also the last man of the Sakaino family, as his death marked their extinction. He kept the truth about the forgotten mountain demon for himself, protecting the cave where it was sealed. He decided to raise Yato not long before the death of Yato's parents. A strong, knowledgeable and friendly person. He used to tell Souichirou and Kyouko a lot of Kogori extermination stories, back in their childhood. On the other hand, Jinpachi lacks sensitivity, therefore he often found himself puzzled about suitable things to do as a father, to his child Yato.
