The protagonist and uncle of Anya. He has a sister who married a Russian some time ago, but they stopped being in touch after that. Although he has a somewhat good life, he is having some troubles at work that makes him stay until late hours most days. Because of this, he almost doesn't have time to socialize, which makes him feel lonely.
