He claims to be a reportage writer on the nightlife in Macau, Hong Kong, and other East Asian cities, but he is actually a CIA agent. He is also a martial arts expert. At the request of his cousin Xiao Yu, he tries to rescue John, who is seeking asylum in the U.S., but unexpected trouble arises and he ends up fighting alongside Yvet and her friends. After solving the case, he sends Xiao Yu to the CIA for training in recognition of her qualities.
