Lucian has been Lillian's tutor for the longest time; therefore, he has the tendency to blame himself for her distasteful upbringing. His efforts to subject Lillian into the field of academics and tame her character never seem to work, yet he still continues to do so anyway. No matter how hard Lillian tries to push her obligations away, he has never once given up on her and is willing to do anything to make sure she chooses the right path in life.
